May 23, 2007 OK, this is one of those items in the not so latest News category.
There was a General Election held on May 23.
The results of that election were: Mike Hall was up for re-election, and did not get elected back on to the board, so his seat as President of the Board was vacant...
The Board increased in size from 5 Members to 7.
New Members voted on to the board: Miguel Avila (a registered sex offender AND was also convicted of another Felony, Possession with intent to manufacture/deliver a controlled substance in the state of Wisconsin) see for yourself using the links below, David Ball, and Jerri Ann Marschall. As stated, Mike Hall was not re-elected, so the new Board chose the new President on Election night and the President is ... (drum roll please) ... Charles "Chuck" McChesney. Treasurer Bob Miller and Secretary Sam Ruvolo kept their seats and remain on the current Board.
I know it has been stated by certain Board Members that they live "on property" but, Miguel Avila does not live on property despite what he has stated. Chuck does not live on property. Bob and Sam do not live on property, although they have not tried to deceive anyone and state otherwise. Jerri Ann Marschall does live on property, and David Ball's residence is not known at this time.
Now, after reading this, I hope a lot of you are asking "How can a Registered Sex Offender/convicted Felon be on OUR Board?" Well, truth be told, it is because he was elected on to the board by YOU, the Homeowner. At least that was the outcome of the Election!
June 15, 2007 So, you'll never guess what has happened now that we are well into the 100º+ temps for the summer...
The pool at phase 2 has been closed!! Yes, you heard me, CLOSED by the Health Dept... an inspector came out on June 14th and checked the chemicals in the pools and guess what?? There was NO chlorine in the pool at phase 2!
There is a rumor going around that the pools have to be drained... but that is just a rumor! DON'T LET THE BOARD DRAIN THE POOLS!!! It is my understanding that the Board was advised to drain both pools, and they were set to do that on Mon, June 18th (so they could have the pools "up and running by the 4th of July")... but the inspector from the Health Dept said the "acid levels are a little high" and that partially draining the pools would fix that... DON'T LET THE BOARD DRAIN THE POOLS AND COST YOU THE HOMEOWNERS $7,500 to refill them!!! By draining the pools about 2 feet and refilling that much will reduce the acid level enough!
It is my understanding that the currnet pool closure will already cost the Association some money! But, if the pools fail 3 times in a row, the Association could receive a significant fine!!
So, what is going on with the pools? Who is supposed to be maintaining them? Are we paying for someone to maintain them and they are doing 1 pool and getting paid for 2? This is a concern that I thinbk ALL homeowners should look into! Call the Board, call Nicklin Mgmt, call the Office. FIND OUT WHERE YOUR MONEY IS GOING!!
To me this is just another scam the members of the Board are running to cost YOU the homeowners... Some company was going to be hired, to drain, "clean", and fill the pools and charge the Association thousands of dollars with someone getting their 33% cut out of the deal!!
